We seek assessments from assessors named by applicants in their application form on an annual basis, usually from May through to August each year. Assessments can only be accepted in response to a request from us. We provide each assessor with information about the applicant(s) on whom we are seeking assessments. As well as the deadline by which we ask for the assessment, we also provide an applicant ID and a unique assessment code for the assessor and that applicant. These can be used to provide an assessment on-line.
We also provide all assessors with Guidance for Assessors, a copy of which is made available at the time of assessment collection.
Each assessment is confidential to Queen's Counsel Appointments, although exceptionally it may be made available to the Complaints Committee. Unless you indicate otherwise in the assessment we will assume you are content with this.
The on-line assessment form and the Word assessment form are currently switched off and will only be switched back on when assessments are being sought (probably May to August 2013).
